Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

This separate notice applies when measurements, fitting information, disability-related details, or other information is regulated as consumer health data, including under Washington's My Health My Data Act and similar laws.
1. Consumer Health Data We Collect
HOC may collect wheelchair measurements; seating and positioning information; body dimensions; mobility, transfer, strength, reach, posture, pressure, pain, skin, function, terrain, and intended-use information; disability-related communications; photographs or videos used for fitting; configuration choices that reveal health needs; clinician, caregiver, or payer information; CAD and sign-off records; and safety, incident, warranty, and service information.
HOC does not intentionally infer diagnoses unrelated to the product, collect precise location for health purposes, or create biometric-identification templates.
2. Sources and Purposes
Data may come from the individual, lawful representative, Dealer, clinician, caregiver, payer, HOC fitting staff, submitted files, messages, and product or service records. HOC processes it to configure and fit a product; evaluate requested compatibility; prepare quotes, CAD, and manufacturing instructions; deliver and support the product; administer warranty and safety obligations; communicate with authorized participants; and comply with law.
3. Sharing
HOC may share consumer health data with the individual and authorized participants; HOC personnel who need it; approved Dealers or clinicians involved in the Build; manufacturers or service providers needing limited data to supply, adapt, repair, or investigate a component; Odoo and providers that host or support HOC systems; professional advisers and insurers; and regulators or safety authorities when required.
HOC does not sell consumer health data and does not share it for targeted advertising. HOC will obtain separate legally sufficient authorization before a sale or another disclosure that requires authorization. A list of specific processors and recipients must be maintained internally and made available where law requires.
4. Consent
When consent is required, HOC will request it separately from general Terms, describe the categories, purpose, recipients, and revocation method, and avoid dark patterns or bundled permission. Refusal may prevent HOC from completing a Build when the data is necessary to configure or manufacture it, but HOC will not condition an unrelated service on unnecessary health-data permission.
5. Rights
Subject to applicable law, a consumer may confirm whether HOC collects or shares consumer health data; access it, including a recipient list; request deletion; withdraw consent; or appeal a refusal. Send a Consumer Health Data Request to info@teamhoc.com. HOC may verify identity and authority. Deletion from backups may occur on the ordinary restoration or overwrite schedule where law permits.
6. Retention and Security
Consumer health data is retained only as reasonably necessary for the disclosed purpose, product safety, warranty, legal compliance, and claims, using the Privacy Policy schedule. HOC uses reasonable safeguards and access controls appropriate to the information. HOC will investigate and notify affected persons and regulators as required after a qualifying breach.
7. Contact and Changes
Contact HOC using the information above. This policy will be displayed through a separate, conspicuous website link and updated prospectively with notice and consent where required.
