This policy explains browser storage and related website technology. HOC must complete a live cookie scan and vendor inventory before publishing this policy.
1. What These Technologies Are
Cookies, local storage, pixels, scripts, software-development kits, and similar technologies can remember a session, keep an account secure, preserve a saved configuration, measure website performance, load embedded content, or support communications.
2. Categories
- Strictly necessary: authentication, security, fraud prevention, load balancing, shopping-cart, portal, configurator-state, consent, and transaction functions. These cannot always be disabled without making the Service unavailable.
- Preferences: language, display, accessibility, and nonessential remembered settings.
- Analytics: aggregate or user-level measurement of pages, errors, performance, and interactions.
- External media and communications: YouTube or other video, maps, chat, support, and embedded content that may contact another provider.
- Advertising: HOC states that it does not use personal information or health data for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising. If this changes, HOC must update the policy and deploy required opt-outs before enabling the technology.
3. Current Vendor Inventory Required
Odoo provides core website, account, commerce, portal, form, and session functions. HOC may also use payment, video, map, chat, analytics, or error-monitoring providers. Before publication, HOC must run a production cookie scan and insert the provider, cookie or storage key, category, purpose, domain, and duration into the consent manager. This policy must not claim a provider list is complete until that audit is done.
4. Choices
Where required, nonessential technologies remain off until the visitor makes a choice. Visitors can use the website cookie-settings control to accept, reject, or change nonessential categories. Browser controls can also remove or block cookies, but blocking necessary storage may prevent login, saved configurations, cart, checkout, or portal use.
5. Retention and Signals
Analytics identifiers are retained for no more than 26 months unless a provider's shorter period applies. Consent records may be retained long enough to demonstrate compliance. HOC will evaluate legally recognized browser opt-out signals and honor them where required.
